Just popping in for a sec to let everyone who might be interested know: There's a 3-book giveaway (for Friday Mornings at Nine) and interview (with me ;) going on right now on Free Book Friday! The winners of the drawing will be announced tomorrow...
And for those who didn't see it, yes, this picture (courtesy of the Chicago Tribune) was taken of Lake Shore Drive this week. They've been calling it "Snowmageddon 2011." Yeah. Why doesn't anyone want to sing "Winter Wonderland" when we get 20+ inches of new snow in one day, hmm?!
Wishing you all a fantabulous weekend. And, because my Bears-loving husband and son are STILL home, thanks to 2 consecutive snow days, and they are STILL pouting because Green Bay beat their team, I also have to say, very loudly: GO, PACK!! (*waving to everyone in my home state of Wisconsin*) Best of luck on Super Bowl Sunday!

You win the most snow contest, though I'm guessing it isn't your favorite contest to win. Ours is probably only a couple of inches behind yours.
And, no, we didn't see that because we photos of our own snowy roads. They closed the freeways and most of the main roads in the area. Not a fun time to be out there.
I hope you have a fabulous time, too. I'll be cheering for the Packers to win, too. Your husband will get over it.
Edie, you're so right -- I would happily give away the winning snowfall title to some other region...but I know you all didn't have it easy in WI. As for the big game -- LOL! I will tell my husband that on Sunday ;-). xo
Have a happy weekend, Marilyn! (And I'm shivering just *looking* at that snow! Stay warm and safe!
Yes! I saw that you were on Free book Friday! I was excited, signed right up.
Sorry to say I have not read your book yet, although it is on my TBR list. This will give you some good exposure too!
It's hard for Bears fans to let go, especially when they were brought so close. And don't even get them started on the Cubbies...
Happy (safe, warm and dry) weekend!!!
Thanks, Robin!! PLEASE enjoy some of that gorgeous CA sunshine for me and have a wonderful weekend, too!
Wall-to-Wall, thanks so much for signing up on FBF!! I'm not sure when they'll do the drawing today, but I've got my fingers crossed for you ;).
Pamela, ohh, I know. I'm sympathetic to them -- it was a very tough Chicago loss -- and yes, the passion they bring to the Cubbies is unmatched by anything I experienced before moving to IL. I'm hoping we'll finally get that World Series win some year in my lifetime, LOL.
WOW! I haven't seen that picture. I feel so bad for those people!! So sad....
Great that you are on Free Book Friday! Who ever wins, are super lucky!
Have a great weekend.
Tonya, it was an insane amount of snow...I feel bad for anyone who was driving in it, too! Wishing you a lovely weekend as well ;).
WOW! That picture is something else. I'm glad you guys got to stay home where it's safe. Hope you enjoyed your snow days.
Thanks, Caryn! The guys really loved their days off, and I was very glad to have them home safe and warm...but I won't say I was *upset* or anything when they went back to school/work ;).
p.s. YAY, Pack!!!!
