HOLIDAY MAN is Here!!
Just had to share that HOLIDAY MAN is officially out! Whoo-hoo!!! I'm having a celebration here in northern Illinois :). Alas, there will be no champagne or shirtless men with abs of steel at my little party...but I've got some chocolate truffles and sparkling grape juice in the house, and I'm more than happy to share them with my friends!!
This is quick story summary of my newest contemporary romance:
A Year of Holidays...
Shannon Quinn is the small-town girl who runs "Holiday Quinn" -- a holiday-themed inn and resort based in scenic Door County, Wisconsin.
One winter evening, wealthy Minneapolis businessman, Bram Hartwick, blows into town along with the fast-falling snow. The sparks Bram and Shannon create succeed in heating up the chilly Midwestern night, not to mention plenty of holiday weekends in the year that follows...
But is their relationship only for special occasions, or might it be the elusive everyday love that neither one thought could be found?
It's available now at Amazon, B&N and Smashwords for only $2.99 -- with Sony, Apple, Kobo and more to come soon! Excerpts from the book are on each of the retails sites, so I hope you'll check it out ;).
Also: A wedding announcement!! At Austen Authors, we're celebrating the double wedding of Miss Elizabeth Bennet & Mr. Darcy as well as Miss Jane Bennet & Mr. Bingley and, of course, you are all invited to join in the festivities. So, Ladies, slip into your favorite Regency gown (or fancy jacket and boots, Gents) and jump into the fun with us!
And, a question -- what's your favorite kind of wedding cake? The classic white? Lemon? Marble? Something with a strawberry filling? (That's what my husband and I had for ours, and it was delicious.) Untraditional but interesting?

Holiday Man sounds like a great book! Looking forward to reading it. I also checked you out at Austen Authors. I am ashamed to say I haven't read any of Jane Austen's books. I am thinking I really should...
Woot! Woot! So happy Holiday Man is out! Can't wait to read it!
YAY for HOLIDAY MAN's release!!! I'm sure this book will be as fantastic as all your others and I wonder if it will make me hungry like ANY GIVEN SUNDAE did? ;-) I wanted to move in at the ice cream parlor when I finished that book, lol.
Congratulations on your release and I'll take a stroll over to AA to watch the nuptials unfold.
Thanks!
Amy, thank you!
And, I'll clearly state my bias here, but I think Austen was one of the greatest writers that ever lived :). Please give her books a try or, if you're inclined toward film, watch either the Colin Firth or the Matthew Macfadyen "Pride and Prejudice" movie!! I'd love to hear what you think about it!
Candy,
Ohhh, thank you so much!! I hope you'll like it ;). And I've been meaning to send you an email all week -- will do that now!
Pamala,
Thanks, my dear!! This book has a bit of food in it (when can I ever resist that?), but only *one* ice cream scene. I was definitely restraining myself, LOL. xox
Fantastic! It's on my Kindle now. I'm eager to read it!
Woo Hoo! The holidays came early this year!! And since I am in a serious Christmas mood, this couldn't come at a better time!!! Off to buy now!
Just downloaded Holiday Man! Can't wait to read over the long Thanksgiving holiday :)
Edie,
Thank you so, so much for getting it ;). *smooch!*
Pam,
Hugs and thanks to you, my friend!! I saw you'd mentioned Eggnog Shakes on FB and that put me in the mood for some tasty Christmas drinks!!
Maria,
Oh, yay, thanks!!! I've got my fingers crossed that you'll like it!
XOXOXOX to you all!!
Congrats again on your release! *throws confetti* I'm a traditional white cake kind of gal. :)
Robin,
Thanks again, my lovely friend!! As for cake, much as I love chocolate-everythings, I do really love white at a wedding, too ;).
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Congratulations on your new release! Looks wonderful!
As for cake, I'll take almost anything because, hey, it's CAKE! But if I had to choose, I'd probably go for regular white cake. Chocolate is delicious, too, it I'd hate to see that smeared all over the bride and groom because it's so hard to clean. (Sigh. Practicality is SO unromantic...)
