It's a new week and ohhhh, my, Thanksgiving is SPEEDING toward us! Can't you just picture that plump turkey racing in our direction on those chunky little legs? (I imagine Nikes on the bird's feet and a rather frenzied expression on his face...) I'm going to be in and out of the house over the next couple of weeks for various in-person family and friend events. Likewise, I'm going to be all over the web through the end of the month, too, popping back into my Brant Flakes home to say 'hi and how's it going' before dashing off again ;).
Some things that are going on: Yesterday, an interview I did with the Chicago Sun-Times was posted in the Sunday paper and online! The link to the web version is HERE. It was such fun to open up to the Books section and see the article there!
This week, I'm a guest at the Cherry Forums Book Club to discuss Friday Mornings at Nine. Wednesday, I'll be visiting my sisters at the Girlfriends Book Club to blog about some favorite Hollywood films. Friday is my fourth and final post in my relationship series on Spirited Woman for 2010. And this weekend is a road trip I'm taking with three good friends to Indiana for a second book-club visit with the wonderful women of Valparaiso! Really looking forward to that...
What are you all doing this week or next? Any pre-Thanksgiving celebrations? Events coming up that have you driving or flying long distances?? Wishing you all a fabulous week!

I can't believe it's already almost Thanksgiving! And soon it will be Christmas. Wow. Actually, I keep thinking it's summer still. I go outside and it's freezing. I look outside and find it getting dark when I expect the sun to be high in the sky. I get thrown every time.
Have fun with all your guest blogs!
It's a super busy time already. I don't have plans for the weekend. Your trip sounds wonderful. And congrats on the Sun-Times interview! That's so cool! I'm sure it will sell many books.
Marilyn, that's really incredible news! Congratulations!!
Caryn, I *know*!! Where did this year go? I can't get used to wearing a jacket AND GLOVES outside... Plus, I'm hungry an hour earlier now ;).
Edie, thank you (!!), and I agree about how busy it is already. Once Halloween is over it's as though the holidays have permission to come at us in full force. But, I promised myself I'd get my Christmas shopping done early this year -- I do NOT want to deal with stores in December!!
Carrie, thanks so, so much!!! I was thrilled ;). Hope you have a wonderful week!
You busy woman, you!
Great articile in the Sun Times:) Congratulations!
obviously, I should have my coffee before I attempt to spell;)
Excellent article, Marilyn. My weekday activities all involve breaking down my pre-Thanksgiving tasks into manageable chunks so I don't run away from home, lol.
Enjoy your trip!
Awesome article, Marilyn! I really enjoyed reading it. Your warmth and intelligence comes through in every interview you do! Congrats.
Have a wonderful week(s)! Enjoy your online and offline get-togethers. I can't believe it's Thanksgiving next week. This year we're off to my uncle's for dinner so no major cooking for me.
Chicago Sun-Times? SQUEE!!! That is so awesome (and such a great article!) Congrats on your well-deserved success!
Maria, with your new release coming out in just a few weeks, YOU are the busy one!! (I need some of that coffee now. ;)
Pamala, hee!! Well, you know how I feel about hosting enormous gatherings...I think you're Superwoman to do what you do!!
Robin, thank you ;). You are such a sweetie... And have fun at your uncle's house!! How great to have a free pass from cooking and to just get to relax and enjoy the event!
Pamela, as a former Chicagoland girl, I know you can imagine the excitement :). Thanks so much for squeeing with me!!
I second Marilyn's invitation to join us for the Cherry Forums Book Club. Our Book Clubs may not be large but they are mighty. :)

Thanks so much, Jill ;). I love getting to spend time with the Cherries! xo
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I'm hosting this year for thirty hungry people.
I loved the interview. How exciting to be in the Chicago Sun!
Tonya, 30 people??!! You're amazing... Hope you have an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving, too!
Busy busy! But it's good, mean you'll sell tons of books. I love the turkey cartoon. It makes me laugh so hard! We don't have Thanksgiving here in Australia so the turkey is spared, for the moment, until Xmas arrives.

What a great interview, Marilyn!!! Congratulations!
Enid, you may not celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia, but you have gorgeous weather in Sydney this time of year that is enviable. I'd trade my turkey for that this year! (I was an exchange student in Brisbane when I was in high school and loved visiting your country. ;)
Maureen, thank you!! Hope you're doing well, my friend. Looking forward to catching up again soon... xo
