It's the start of a new week and, while there's much to be done today (and even more to clean) after the weekend, I did just want to pop in with one bit of exciting news: According to Jane was reviewed this weekend in the Chicago Tribune! My Chicago-North chaptermates have already been subjected to my squeal of delight (albeit virtually ;), but I didn't want to be accused of being withholding on the blog. (LOL--as if!) So, it's here, for those interested, alongside a lovely review for another Chicago-North friend's novel--Sherrill Bodine's A Black Tie Affair. It was so nice to get noticed by our hometown paper and an absolute thrill to see our book covers showcased both in print and online. Kicked off the weekend in a most wonderful way!
Hope all of you had fun weekends, too. Anything new??

Congrats on the Review. Hope all is going great. Can't wait for your second book. I agree with more clarity the beeter as far as th title goes. Are you OK with it?
Have a great week.
Hi, Erika, and thanks :). Hope you're having a great week, too! And, yes, I'm good with the new title. In my mind, it's hard to remember what to call this book, though. I always have to pause and think because the title I originally gave the story was changed months ago. Then I got used to another title for a few weeks...then another for a few weeks longer...then, finally, Fridays at Nine, which, of course, just got changed again--LOL! So, after 5 title switches, I'm ready to call it just about anything as long as it'll STAY that way ;).
Yay for the great review (and the cover shown, too!)! You deserve all the kudos, Ms. Marilyn! Ah, and you mentioned cleaning. Now I feel like I'd better vacuum. See what you started? ;-)
Cheers,
Susan
LOL, Susan! Thanks...although I don't think YOU need to be cleaning this week. You have a book out *tomorrow*!!!! Can't wait to have you visit us ;).
Oh, that's so cool! Congrats, Marilyn! What a lovely review! I'm so happy when I hear about all these good things with regards to your book, and I can't wait for Friday Mornings at Nine!
Great review! I hope it gets you a ton of sales.
Our newspaper never reviews romance. Once in a while they'll do mysteries, but that's it. It's good to know not all newspapers are like that.
Hooray for the great review and cover shot!!! Though I have to snicker when you refer to the Chicago Trib as your "hometown paper." Yeah, such a tiny little rag. (tee hee)
Robin, Edie and Pamela--aww, thanks, ladies! *Hugs to you all*
(Pam, LOL...well, okay, so it's not my little suburb's weekly review, but it's the one I always buy if I'm going to "get a paper." ;-)
How exciting, Marilyn!! Very favorable, too :)
Oh that was an awesome review. I hope you printed it and put it your Good Stuff notebook. Every writer should have one, because there are those days when we think we suck pond scum and it is good to look back and have proof that actually we are awesome. YOU ARE AWESOME.
L.A.~Thank you!!
Tina~I *did* put it in a special place for those pond scum days...LOL! You're awesome too, my friend. *hug*
popping in to say congrats!! Have a good week~ :)
