Happy "Pi" Day!

First and foremost, let me say thank you.

To every single person who picked up a copy of On Any Given Sundae at Barnes & Noble or Amazon this month, or who helped me spread the word about the book, it's because of YOU that I officially get to call it a "National Bestseller," and I couldn't be more appreciative!!

Last week, my first self-published romantic comedy got up to #17 on the B&N Top 100 Bestseller List and was hanging out on the Nook Romance page with some really cool friends ;). On Amazon's Top 100, it reached #60 overall, and it's still on the more specific Humor and Love, Sex & Marriage lists. Very excited about that and incredibly grateful to you all for helping to make it happen!!

And, so, in appreciation and celebration...let there be Pi...I mean, Pie!!

Since Lemon Meringue Pie is one of my favorites -- plus, doesn't it just taste like spring?! (she said hopefully) -- here is a recipe for an easy version. It's one that even I, who couldn't be less skilled as a baker, can make, and I've got my fingers crossed that if we all make spring-like foods, the warm weather and sunshine will follow... Well, it's a theory anyway, LOL.

Have a wonderful 3.14, friends, and a relaxing rest of the week! And again, thank you.

Woot!!!! Congrats on being a National bestseller. That's awesome!

My husband is the piemaker in the house. He has a lemon meringue pie recipe, but I'll tell him about yours. Maybe he'll like it better.

Yay!! Pie!! And a National Bestseller too. My husband is ALSO the pie maker, just like Edie's. His specialty is apple. Oh and pecan. :) I do the cakes and cookies in our house. Though I did make a really great pear pie for Christmas this year. I was inspired.

Woot! I saw (and shared) On Any Given Sundae on Bookbub and was very excited for you, Marilyn. I'm glad that it made the push and received the recognition it deserves.

Also, pie! My seventh grader had a wonderful 'Pi" day at school and we're having pecan pie for dessert tonight in honor of the day.

Hope you're doing well.

Edie,
I know you were helping me last week, and I really appreciated it!! (Plus, you've been a light of encouragement through so much of this indie pub journey... thank you! ;) On th subject of pie, your hubby can make more complicated things than I can, so this recipe might be too simple for him, but I hope he'll like it!

Kecia,
A pear pie! I love the sound of that -- and how perfect for Christmas!! I'm envious of you and Edie having husbands that bake...mine decidedly does NOT, LOL.

Pamala,
Thank you so much, my friend!! You're wonderful to spread the word but I'm especially grateful for your friendship...even though it's been FAR too long since we've seen each other! xox Pecan pie was my mother-in-law's favorite -- whenever I see it, I think of her and remember how she used to rave about it... :)

Yay! *Doing a happy dance to celebrate* Congrats, Marilyn!
If baking and eating spring like foods will, in any way, bring on spring, then I better get on making lemonade, key lime pie, lemon bars, anything consisting of fresh fruit, and whatever else I can get my hands on. I am OVER the cold! Or maybe I need to read On Any Given Sundae or Double Dipping to have Mother Nature think I need to be cooled off and to bring on the heat! Hey, it's worth a shot! ;)
Congrats again and enjoy your lemon meringue pie!

Jakki,
Thank you, sweetie!!!!!!!!!
And I'm SO with you on being over this cold weather (you, at least, are in a state where it gets warmer faster...but it's never fast enough, is it?! :). Yeah, I'll have to add lemon bars and key lime pie to the menu this week, too!! LOVE those!

Huge congratulations Ms. National Bestseller!!! That is so awesome and so well deserved! I loved On Any Given Sundae! I am totally grinning from ear to ear for you!

Since I'm chiming in late, I hope your "pi" day was fun. My hubby loves lemon meringue pie. I'm not a big pie fan. I know, shocking, since I've got the biggest sweet tooth on the planet. I will indulge in some warm apple pie a la mode occasionally, though. :)

Robin,
Thank you, lovely friend!!!
I like most kinds of pie, but you know my heart really belongs to chocolate and ice cream/gelato ;)
