Cookies, Reviews & the Blog Hop Winner!

Aren't these book-cover cookies beautiful?! They're from Carrie's Cookies and my publisher, Kensington Books, ordered small batches of them for each author participating in their mixer at the RT Booklovers Convention last week. Not only pretty but, in my opinion, delicious, too!!

In other exciting news, there's a brand new book blog out there for fun women's fiction/romance/mystery/etc. novels called Chick Lit Girls and, just a few days ago, they posted a lovely review for A Summer in Europe! I especially loved this segment of the review below:

"A Summer In Europe is an exceptional novel, to say the least… I was completely captivated, and couldn’t put it down. The characters are colorful different, and altogether, likeable. While reading--into all hours of the night--I felt like I was traveling through Europe myself, as I saw the sights, ate the food, and encountered many delights along the way. This fresh story, set in the most breathtaking and beautiful places of Europe, certainly is a page turner, charming, beautifully written, and realistic. A Summer in Europe by Marilyn Brant is a lovely story, and a must read!"

::happy sigh::

And last but certainly not least, many thanks to everyone who left comments for the Authors in Bloom blog hop! The winner of my personal prize -- a pair of Venetian glass-bead earrings and the two A Summer in Europe luggage tags is...JANEL!! Congratulations! I'll be in contact with you through Twitter so I can get your address. Hope you'll enjoy them ;).

Wishing you all a wonderful rest of the week and weekend!

Have seen your picture all over the place in posts about the convention. The nicest things were said about you but the cookies seem to have been a closely held secret. LOL.

Love the cookies. I wish I'd gone to the Kensington party. I was probably revising, darn it. I think I'd be afraid to eat it. They're too beautiful.

Congrats on the review. She said all the things I felt about it.

Candy, thank you!! I was delighted with the review, and I'm sure you can imagine my pleasure in seeing those cookies. I'll tell ya, it took me a lot less time to eat my book than to write it ;).

Liz, LOL!! I don't know who's to blame for the secretiveness, but I've been jabbering about those cookies everywhere I've been (literally and virtually) in the past week. I'd make a terrible spy :). And thank you for telling me that nice things were being said about me -- makes my day to hear that!

Edie, good for you getting work done at the RT Convention!!! You have no idea how much I admire that. Conferences are always so fascinating for me, but they also sap me of a lot of energy. I've never been able to write or revise anything while at one... And thanks for what you said about the book. You know I appreciate it! xox

I want a cookie. :) Make that two. One to eat and one to keep forever. :)

Congratulations on the wonderful review. ~happy sighs too~ It's truly one of my most favorite books! Will check out the new blog...

Robin, thank you! I wish I could have kept a cookie forever, but they don't have preservatives in them, so I was told I might as well eat and enjoy or I soon wouldn't be able to!!

Janel, you are most welcome! I've got it packaged and ready to mail out this week ;). Hope you'll enjoy everything!
