An Update: Sunday at Eight

Because I'm freakishly devoted to punctuality, it made me laugh that it was actually a Thursday at Two when I found out (thanks to my very cool brother) that my 2nd women's fiction book, Fridays at Nine, had its own Amazon page. Better to be early than late, right? Last year, when I first saw the site on Amazon for According to Jane, I got overexcited and did embarrassing stuff like squeal and memorize the ISBN number. I'm SO much calmer and more professional now. (I only jumped around my office a little and wouldn't dream of memorizing the ISBN for at least a week this time around. :-) Anyway, there's no cover art to share yet, so if you click on the page you'll see only the colorless "no image available" logo. But soon...

p.s. What did you all do over the weekend? Anything fun??

Woohoo! Isn't it exciting that the new book is mentioned on Amazon? I'm surprised you restrained yourself because I would have made so much noise, the cops might've come.

Can't wait to read the new book!

Well, the cops *did* come to our house and asked us to shut the party down. However, when I showed him ATJ and explained the excitement over FAN, the nice police officer joined in the celebration by turning on his lights and siren. My neighbors may never buy one of your books because the celebration woke them up at 2 in the morning, but that's okay--they'll buy them if I have to keep buying their kids magazines and chocolate bars for school!

LOL, you two!! Thanks to you both for celebrating with me...

Pamala, my brother-in-law is a retired cop. I'm required by family law to restrain myself--unfortunately!!

Pamela, I'm coming to your parties, you wild thing! (Of course, I do recall you were fond of leopard-print stuff, so I was clued in early to your wild side... ;)

Exciting! Can't wait to see the cover for it!

I spent the weekend recuperating from a scratched cornea, decorating the house, and watching football on T.V. Fun!(except for the cornea part of course.)

Maria, oh, no!! Sorry to hear about the scratched cornea. I hope that's on the mend now...

Robin, what d'ya say you and I crash Pam's next party together, hmm?!

Edie, how fun that you all got together! Nothing like meeting fellow writers for a wonderful celebration :).

Thanks, Nancy! I'm excited to see this one in print!!

Overexcited? Heck, you have reason to be! Congratulations.

Oh, Rick, thank you! I was trying not to act like a 2-year-old on a sugar high this time, but the truth is that I couldn't help myself :).

What did I do over the weekend? Well, I had read on the net where the fire department in Superior, Arizona, needed toys to pass out to kids in their small. low-income town, so my daughter and I shopped for toys Saturday to send to Arizona from Texas. That shopping was lots of fun, for they only want toys valued at from $1 to $4, so we were able to purchase quite a few. Then Sunday, hubby, daughter and I drove to Bryan-College Station and visited with a couple of college students and took them out to lunch. That was fun, too. The weather was wet and cold, so we patronized a Mexican food restaurant. Quite a nice weekend, except that the U. of Houston lost their conference championship game. If they had won, it would have been a perfect weekend.

Gladys~I just saw your message! Sounds as though you'd had a pretty busy weekend last week--wow! I hope this one was full of fun (and that U. of Houston will take the championship next year ;).
