Weekend Laugh

I owe much gratitude to a fellow Janeite for this video gem--thank you so much, Sylwia!! If you've ever wondered what it would be like for a guy to try to pick up women using Mr. Darcy's dialogue (I know, I know, it's an Austen-fan-girl thing to do :), then this hilarious YouTube clip is for you...

Enjoy! And have a wonderful weekend, everyone.

Oh, that was too funny. No, I mean it--do not watch it at work. Outbursts of laughter without explanation do not go over well.

*I am not a madam.* Words to live by.

I KNOW! And the way he approached the bride--loved it!! So glad you enjoyed it, too, Pamela :).

The 'I am not a madam." is one of the those moments I'll never forget. Open mouth and insert foot comes to mind.

I thought it was interesting that they chose Colin Firth's, Mr. Darcy, instead of the more memorable Matthew Macfadyen.

Send me back in time, just send him with me!

(And I'm sorry, but you know I'm a little more partial to Brad.)

I'm glad you liked it so much!

My favourite line is that older lady's "I find you odd".

That was great. The "not a madam" part was hands down the best.
